A Walton County man's loved ones hope he will be located soon. According to authorities, Nathan Millard was in Baton Rouge on a business trip when he disappeared. Here's what we know so far.

Georgia Father Disappeared

A Georgia father was last seen leaving his hotel before going missing over a week ago while on a business trip, according to recently made public CCTV photos.

Amber Millard's Conversation With 11Alive

Amber Millard, his wife, told 11Alive that Nathan Millard, 42, had flown into Baton Rouge on February 22 for what was intended to be a 24-hour visit, but he hasn't been seen or heard from since.

In The Hands Of God

The frightened wife stated, “My mind has been going nonstop, but I can’t let my mind torture me, and I’m just turning it over to God and prayer, prayer, prayer, staying positive,” She added, "He’s a loved and great man, and we need him. We want him home.”

Millard Was There To Meet Clients

The brief trip was made by Millard, a father of four teenage sons and a 7-year-old daughter, to scout out a potential project location for his Conyers, Georgia-based firm Advanced Construction.

Millard Never Returned to His Room

Millard never returned to his hotel room, just a short walk away, after a basketball game and drank at a bar with a client from his place of business.

Management Searched Millard's Room

The management at the Courtyard Marriott searched Millard's room when he failed to appear the next morning to meet his customer at the construction site. Both his bed and his possessions were still there.

Millard Left Hotel With His Client

On the night of his disappearance, Millard was seen leaving the hotel with a client in photos posted by Texas EquuSearch on Wednesday.

Investigators Found His Wallet

Later, at the Greyhound Bus Terminal on Florida Boulevard, just four blocks from the hotel, Millard's wallet containing his credit card was discovered. Also, surveillance video captured someone using Millard's debit card.

Texas EquuSearch Found Clues

Texas EquuSearch, a nonprofit volunteer search and rescue group assisting with Millard's case, said they received fresh information that indicated a better timeline of what happened that night, according to Kristen Harvey, the organization's search manager.

Millard Took Lyft

She said that after the game, he took a Lyft to the downtown pub where he was last seen.

Texas EquuSearch Head Investigator's Statement

"The Lyft app shows that he was dropped off at Happy's Bar at about 9.30, and then the client informed us that he departed at approximately 11.30, and after that, no one's seen him since," Harvey said. It's practically a two-minute walk.

Investigators found Millard's Wallet

"His wallet was then recovered, his ID was missing, and his debit card was stolen," according to the report. "His phone was then located, maybe four streets from the hotel."

Millard's Wife's Conversation With WSB TV

His wife told WSB TV that her husband attended an LSU basketball game before returning to the downtown Courtyard Hotel.

Millard Facetimed With His Wife

"Wednesday night," she explained, "He was able to get college basketball tickets. He and I Facetimed while he was there, and that was at 7.30 Georgia time."

The Time Millard Left The Bar

Following that, Millard and his client Josh headed to Happy's Irish Pub on Third Street and ordered drinks. At about 11.30 p.m., he reportedly left the bar, leaving his customer behind to pay the bill.

Millard's Client Informed The Police

The next day, Millard was scheduled to meet a client at his job site. After missing the 8:00 a.m. appointment, the client called the police to request that his room be checked on for his well-being around an hour later. The room he reserved for the trip seemed to be empty, according to hotel workers.

Millard's Family Is Scared

His wife Amber said that she was feeling heartbroken. "It's a nightmare that I want to wake up from. This is my worst nightmare," she said to WSB-TV.

"My mind has been going nonstop, but I can't let my mind torture me, and I'm just turning it over to God and prayer, prayer, prayer, staying positive," Amber said. "He's a loved man, a great man, and we need him; we want him home."

Amber Wants Him Alive

Amber stated that she knew something was gravely wrong, she said, "When she woke up and there was no text from him, you know a happy family man... just a heartbreaking situation, somebody at that time of night and where it was at - somebody saw something, and that's what we're hoping."

Investigators Are Trying Hard

According to reports, at least one person has been examined by investigators in relation to the disappearance, but no further details have been revealed. We'll try to keep you updated on the latest information.
