TikTok Mom, Taylor Frankie Paul, Facing Five Criminal Charges After Alarming Domestic Violence Call

After being detained on February 17, 28-year-old Taylor Frankie Paul has been charged with two instances of domestic violence in the vicinity of a child, aggravated assault, criminal mischief, and child abuse this Tuesday, as is the information retained from the court records.

A Herriman, Utah, police officer testified that Paul and Dakota Mortensen got into a furious altercation while Paul's kids were around.

The document revealed that Paul was observed throwing her phone and wooden playset at him in an attempt to leave the house.

According to the statement of the police, the argument only heated further with time to the extent that Paul threw “heavy, metal chairs” at her boyfriend.

We can judge Paul’s force in throwing those metal chairs around by the fact that the throw made holes in the walls. Utterly terrifying, is it not?

Since Paul continued to throw chairs at Mortensen viciously, he asked her to stop because her five-year-old daughter was right beside him on the couch.

Unfortunately, despite Mortensen’s plea, Paul did not stop. In fact, she replied by throwing another metal chair that stuck the head of her daughter, which left a bump on the young kid’s head, reported the document.

The video evidence shows the baby loudly crying once the chair hit her. Moreover, the video explained in the document recorded Paul hitting Mortensen, putting him in a chokehold, and kicking him several times.

“Dakota reported feeling scared for his life,” told the officer’s declaration. “Dakota was observed with redness and swelling around his eyes, swelling on his elbow, scratches on his fingers, and a laceration on his neck.”

Paul and her ex-husband split custody of their two kids, and she frequently posts pictures of them on her TikTok account, where she has more than 4 million followers.

Paul gained notoriety last year after discussing her "soft swinging" way of life with her ex-husband. Her postings had fueled rumors that other TikTok-famous Utah influencers were potentially engaged before Paul disclosed that she "stepped out of that agreement." And the two got subsequently divorced.

After a while, she posted about her new relationship (with Mortensen), co-parenting, and mental wellness. These posts were relatively far better compared to her “soft swinging” ones.

When she became pregnant, she and Mortensen were thrilled. Sadly, it turned out to be an ectopic pregnancy, Paul admitted in a post.

Under a post in the December of 2022, Paul captioned her troubles as well as talked about how her viewers expressed rather lovey opinions in a mocking tone.

"Cheers to the SHITTIEST year of my entire life," she continued. "From rough marriage, to swinging, to divorce, to major loss of some family, best friends, friends, my and kids part time, trying to be in another relationship but can’t let myself be happy, to ectopic pregnancy, to deep depression meanwhile millions of people watched it all and gave their lovey opinions."

Since her arrest, we have failed to see Paul on social media. The TikTok Mom has yet to address the situation. Meanwhile, her viewers are bashing her under her latest Instagram posts.

We are unaware if Paul has an attorney to represent her in court. She is expected to attend the court hearing on March 21st.

According to Sim Gill, who talked to BuzzFeed News, the district attorney for Salt Lake County, Paul is facing allegations rather than charges.

"There's a presumption of innocence, but at this point, taking and looking at both the officer's statements, any video evidence, as well as statements from parties that are involved, we concluded that we have sufficient probable cause for the purposes of warranting the filing of charges," informed the district attorney.
