Sam Asghari is speaking up following the viral report of Britney Spears's failed family intervention over the week. He denied the existence of any intervention and stated that the singer is in full control of her life, including making decisions for herself.

Keep reading for the details.

No Intervention

Asghari revealed the intervention did not occur on Thursday, but he didn't deny reports that there had been plans in place for it.

Britney Is In Full Control Of Her Life

He stated that the 41-year-old pop star completely controls her life and can make decisions for herself. “My wife is in full control of her life and will continue to make all decisions involving her care regardless of circumstances,” Asghari, 28, confirmed in his statement to Access Hollywood.

Stop Speculating About Her Health

He urged the media and public to stop speculating and making untrue assumptions about Spears's health. He described it as "inappropriate and should end immediately."

Britney Is Also Denying Reports Of An Intervention

The Toxic musician also came out to clear up rumors that she needed intervention, as she posted on Instagram:

“It makes me sick to my stomach that it’s even legal for people to make up stories that I almost died.”

She continued that she's doing the best she can and is now considering no longer posting her pictures or any content on Instagram because many people don't wish her well.

Intervention Plans

News of Spears's family and friends staging an intervention for her due to fears that she might die entered the media space earlier in the week. It was reported that her manager rented an apartment in LA, where she was supposed to spend two months with a therapist and a team of doctors.

The Plan Was Cancelled

It was, however, canceled, as it was considered unnecessary, and the matter was blown out of proportion. An insider for Page Six had this to share:

"Unfortunately, there is a lot of hysteria in the media right now, but Britney is fine, and much of this has been overblown and grossly distorted."

Spears Had A Meeting With A Doctor

However, the singer went ahead to meet with a doctor on Wednesday, and it went well — although, it's unclear if it was a physician or a therapist. Concerns for Spears's mental health and overall well-being became rampant recently following a manic episode at a highbrow restaurant in Los Angeles. According to people on the scene, she was heard speaking gibberish and making weird body movements.
