Family sources recently opened up to TMZ, revealing that shortly before Lisa passed away, she struggled to cope with the pressure of appearing at the 2023 Golden Globes Awards, where Austin Butler bagged an award for his role in Elvis

Lisa Was More Comfortable During The Pandemic 

According to the reports, the singer felt more comfortable wearing a mask and avoiding the paparazzi during the coronavirus pandemic. 

Lisa Lost Her Son

Sadly, not too long into the pandemic in July 2020, Lisa's world crashed when her son, Benjamin, died by suicide.

Lisa Stayed Indoors Most Of The Time 

The report further explained that as a result of the loss, Lisa rarely left her house and would wear a facemask whenever she did. Soon, the late songwriter felt protected by being anonymous, spending the majority of her time in 2021 and 2022 indoors.

Being In Public Freaked Lisa Out 

However, three months before the Golden Globes, when the Elvis biopic became a hit, Lisa reportedly realized she would be in public more often. According to family sources, the prospect of being back in the media spotlight freaked her out.

Details Of Lisa's Death

Lisa, the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, died at a California hospital on January 12, at 54. Reports revealed that the paramedics responded to a 911 call about a woman in cardiac arrest.

More On Lisa's Death And Burial 

Upon arrival at the location, Lisa was immediately transported to a hospital, where she died shortly after. The singer was laid to rest on January 22 at her father's property in Graceland.

Lisa Was Obsessed With Losing Weight 

Following her demise, some surprising revelations about Lisa made it to the limelight. Sources revealed that when Lisa realized she would be expected to appear at awards ceremonies, she became obsessed with losing weight.

Lisa Allegedly Began Using Opioids 

According to the insider, Lisa shed somewhere between 40 to 50 pounds in six weeks. She was believed to have been on opioids even at the Golden Globes, as she seemed unstable and slurred her words while on the red carpet.

The Cause Of Lisa's Death

Lisa's family also revealed her opioid intake, something that took over a part of her adult life, may have contributed to her demise. However, the world still awaits the official cause of Lisa's death, as the toxicology results are yet to be released.
