The couple has been together since 2012; they married two years into their relationship and had two daughters, Gio Grace, and Dusty Rose. While talking to People, Prinsloo said that she and Adam always wanted a big family, "we're leaving it up to fate and just what happens. What will happen, will happen. So there's no limits to it," she stated.

Their pregnancy announcement was highly controversial since the media was focused on Levine's cheating allegations shared by Sumner Stroh on her TikTok account. In the video, the Instagram model affirmed she and the Maroon 5 singer maintained a relationship.

The TikTok, which is no longer available, showed screenshots of Stroh's DM conversation with Adam Levine. Stroh affirmed that at that point, there weren't talking anymore, but they were friendly at the beginning of last year.

In the messages, Levine acted in a flirtatious way. Stroh was upset that the singer asked her permission to use her name for her upcoming baby, as he thought Sumner would be a great fit.

Adam denied having a physical relationship with Stroh; however, he admitted to having an interest in the model. He added, "I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner," in his public statement.
