Lizzo is back in the news after breaking down into tears as a result of flutist James Galway sending her holiday wishes. The Juice singer, also known for being a flutist, received a personal greeting from James this year, and it was all too much. Lizzo took to social media with tears streaming down her face on Sunday, posting via her Instagram Stories and including footage of the greeting.

Lizzo played the flute for years ahead of finding international fame in music - she still includes the instrument both on record and in live performances. The self-professed "band geek" has also admitted to listening to Galway's The Man with the Golden Flute over and over.

A Very Special Christmas Greeting

Lizzo kept her Xmas low-key this year - she's gearing up for the release of Lizzo: Live in Concert. The Jerome hitmaker shared the video that Galway had sent - he played We Wish You a Merry Christmas on the flute and before a lit-up and decorated Christmas tree.

Lizzo, 34, also got a personal note, one seeing Galway smiling and saying:

"Merry Christmas Lizzo, from your number one fan." Clearly taken aback at having her idol sending wishes, Lizzo wrote: "YALL — SIR James Galway wished ME a Merry Christmas 😱😱😱." In the Story showing her crying, Lizzo exclaimed: "Is that f**king James? Is that f**king James Galway?"

Learning The Flute

Lizzo has opened up about the instrument she masters so well. Speaking of her thoughts while she was studying the flute, the shapewear founder told Vanity Fair:

“I want to be the best f*cking flute player ever. I was 12, but I wanted to take it all the way.” As to music, overall, well, there's a very strong clue on Lizzo's Instagram right now.

'Favorite' Songs Right Now

Posting shortly before Christmas, Lizzo told fans:

"Break up twice is one of my favorite songs on Special- me & @iammarkronson in our telfy w this one 😮‍💨 THANK U @nbcsnl !!!" Fans of Lizzo know that it isn't just beats, these days, though. Yitty Shapewear has taken off - mogul and SKIMS founder Kim Kardashian has competition!

Launching Yitty

In April, Lizzo launched her shapewear line, one in partnership with sportswear brand Fabletics. The Grammy winner said that her merchandise is for "every damn body," likely a take from her About Damn Time track. The launch was announced one month prior in March. For more, see Lizzo's Instagram.
