Well, it's safe to say it's no surprise to any Sister Wives fan that husband Kody Brown continues to insult his first wife, Meri Brown. Having put Meri on the back burner for so many years, it's clear Kody has no attachment to his first love.
However, it is continuously shocking that Meri decides to stay married to Kody despite his indifference and it's clear fans have started to run out of patience.
As the show gears up for the final half of its season, emotions are running high as fans watch the Brown family split up (finally) after Christine announces she's leaving the family compound.
"And I also know that anger is a secondary emotion. I'm hurt. I'm hurt that she doesn't see value enough in our family."
"I don't know what I'm supposed to say to this. I don't feel jealous of Christine because she's leaving and I can't because I can," Meri adds. "I can do whatever I want."
"My strength is sticking around and seeing if Kody would be willing to work on a relationship. So I leave that door open, but I'm not pining away for it."
"I don't really consider myself married to Meri. If she wanted to move on and marry another, she wouldn't get an argument with me."
YIKES, right?
As you can imagine, fans of the hit TLC series have taken to social media to express their thoughts.
"Every week I cannot get over how many hypocritical and terrible statements that Kody makes," tweeted one fan. "He’s mad at Christine for doing to him almost exactly what he’s done to Meri. It’s deranged."
"Meri & Robyn passing so much judgement on Christine for finally leaving Kody as if Robyn hadn’t been divorced before and Meri wasn’t cheating in an online relationship," tweeted a different user.
It's no secret we all want Meri to leave Kody, but if she wants to stay, she can't get mad at Christine for choosing her happiness over the family.
