Well, I don't know about you guys, but I personally will be celebrating today as a national holiday. After all this time, Chris Evans has finally been announced as PEOPLE magazine's Sexiest Man Alive. Considering he's Hollywood's golden boy, a lot of people are surprised that this hasn't happened sooner (yes, including me).
The crown has passed from Paul Rudd to his Marvel co-star, and the internet is celebrating. Apparently, so is Chris Evans' mother!
"This whole thing is tough to be interviewed about," he told PEOPLE. "It feels like a weird form of humble bragging." But he also did admit that middle-school Chris Evans would be very happy to know that he would be getting that award. It might have even given him an in at the cool table!
"My mom will be so happy," he said. "She's proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about."
As for his friends? He pointed out that they will do nothing but harass and bully him. But hey, that's what friendship is all about, am I right?
While he may be notoriously private, fans will be waiting with bated breath to see who Evans ends up with. In the meantime though, they can look forward to the Christmas movie that he is currently shooting with Dwayne Johnson!
