As you may have heard, Disney is going full-steam ahead in remaking many of its classic films as live-action blockbusters. After the success of Aladdin in 2019, it was reported that Hercules was up next.

The director of the live-action Aladdin — Guy Ritchie — will be directing the film with Anthony and Joe Russo producing.

While not much has been revealed about the upcoming "Hercules" live-action remake, what we do know has us concerned.

To be fair, every single remake has filled me with stress so why would this be any different?

In a new interview with Variety, producer Joe Russo confirmed that the reboot will be a musical, but a more "modern" musical.

"What does that mean?" you ask. Well, it seems the Russo brothers will be taking inspiration from TikTok.

Yes, THAT app that your kids can't get enough of will be the inspo for a remake of one of the most beloved Disney films of all time.

"There are questions about how you translate it as a musical. Audiences today have been trained by TikTok, right?" he explained. "What is their expectation of what that musical looks like and feels like?

"That can be a lot of fun and help us push the boundaries a little bit on how you execute a modern musical."

As for what fans can expect besides a TikTok-inspired musical Hercules, it seems like a lot will be changing.

Joe explained that the live-action film will be "a little bit more experimental in tone, a little bit more experimental in execution."

Well, this sounds like it will be interesting, to say the least.

I'm curious to see how it will all pan out!
