Nancy Pelosi's Husband, Paul Pelosi, 'Violently Assaulted' In San Francisco Home

The husband of US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was 'violently assaulted' inside of their San Francisco home after a break in early this morning.

He suffered injuries and is currently in hospital, but is expected to make a full recovery. Little is known about the intruder, such as his motivations and means of entry, but they are in custody.

Nancy Pelosi's husband was attacked early this morning.

Paul Pelosi was asleep in their home in San Francisco when an assailant broke in and "violently assaulted" him, according to The Associated Press.

The perpetrator is now in custody, though his motivation remains unknown.

It's also unclear how the assailant entered the home.

Paul Pelosi, 82, suffered blunt force injuries. Mrs. Pelosi's spokesperson Drew Hammill said, "Mr Pelosi was taken to the hospital, where he is receiving excellent medical care and is expected to make a full recovery."
