Dating can be a pretty challenging experience for some people. Not everything is all sunshine and roses when it comes to dating. Some dating experiences can be pretty horrifying for some individuals.
Things happen that can be quite uncomfortable and embarrassing—and when you hear about it or read about it, you get pretty much secondhand embarrassment for the person who went through it.
One person shared that their date waited in the parking lot of his apartment for a few after the date "just in case" he decided to change his mind about doing something after dinner together. Stalker vibes for sure.
This Facebook user said that they were having a wonderful time on the date with the guy she was seeing until he got a call from his parents saying that he had to come home. At 40, he was still living home with his parents.
"Went on a blind date with a lady who wouldn't stop picking at her scabs. Just made a pile out of them on the restaurant table. I excused myself to use the washroom and when I came back my soup was there but the pile of scabs wasn't. No I didn't eat the soup," said sarin77.
One person shared that they were on a dinner date and excused themselves to get up and use the bathroom. She leaned in to kiss her date on the cheek, but her earring got stuck in his nostril. There was blood.
"Guy told me he just recently got out of a long-term relationship so he wasn't looking for a commitment but asked me if he could be my 'maintenance man' as he stroked his penis through his jeans," said Lil_Bear.
One guy said that he took a woman to dinner but she didn't want to see a menu at the restaurant. When he asked why, she said she was going to order the most expensive appetizer, main course, and dessert—claiming if they are expensive, they must taste good.
"We spent most of the date going shopping for clothes for another date she had later that week. It's kinda funny seeing as how she was the one that asked me out," said another guy.
He had a pet snake, which is pretty cool in itself. But, she said at dinner he opened up his shirt to showcase that he had the snake with him, wrapped around his chest. Just brought him along.
Another said that they went on a date and they were having a wonderful time until they went into the guy's house and when he got there, he proceeded to talk to his kitchen. He said hello to the stove and asked if the fridge missed him.
"It was a blind date, we met up at a coffee shop close to our university. He was very high, and it was hard to get a conversation going. He just kept telling me I was as beautiful as the brick wall we were sitting next to, and that my skin looked soft enough to be made into a nice robe," shared dq00qf6.
One guy said he invited a girl out to come watch him play hockey. He ended up in the game with a broken femur and in a wheelchair. She went out with him for a bit, but only out of pity, he felt.
"I went on a blind date where the restaurant caught on fire, and I slammed her foot in the car door breaking two bones. When your blind date ends at the ER you are going home alone," shared _Heath.
One Reddit user said when he was 15, he asked a girl out to the movies to see "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas," not knowing what the movie was about at all. Turns out, it was a pretty uncomfortable date.
"A guy insisted we go to the drive in movies. Told him he could pick the movie. Cheap bastard picked Paul Blart Mall Cop and told me get in the trunk because he "only brought enough money for one ticket," said more_coffeee.
"She was out of my league, but seemed to really be into me. Everything actually started great until she asked if i'd be interested in co-signing a loan with her. She didn't like me as much after i declined," shared another.
