Celebs are people just like us. This in itself might not make them particularly relatable as they're rich and famous and most of us aren't. Still though, their humanity means they go through many of the same trials and tribulations as the rest of us.
One rite of passage that celebs have in common with the rest of us is announcing a new baby on social media. Here are some of the cuter celebrity baby announcements of 2022.
Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul met his wife, actor Lauren Parsekian, at Coachella in 2012. Earlier this year, Parsekian gave birth to the couple's second child, Ryden Caspian. "I promise to make you proud, little guy," Paul pledged.
Singer Ed Sheeran has been in a long-term relationship with his childhood sweetheart Cherry Seaborn. They had a baby in August of 2020, and another in May of 2022. "We are both so in love with her," Sheeran wrote on Instagram.
Katherine Schwarzenegger (yes, she's Arnold's daughter) has had her second daughter with her hubby, actor Chris Pratt. While the couple didn't share a pic of their new baby, Pratt did write that the couple feels "beyond blessed and grateful."
Drew Scott of Property Brothers fame shared the happy news that he and his wife Linda Phan were able to overcome fertility difficulties and have their first child, son Parker James. "Our lives are forever changed," Scott said.
Glee star Jenna Ushkowitz announced her engagement to David Stanley in 2020 and the couple tied the knot in 2021. The couple had their first child in June, with Ushkowitz writing that their "hearts have burst wide open."
Canadian actor Shay Mitchell and her partner Matte Babel had their first baby together in October of 2019. They welcomed their second child, daughter Rome, in June. In a sweet Instagram post, Mitchell contrasted the joy of having a baby with the grief of losing her grandma around the same time.
Actor Jordan Fisher has been with his childhood sweetheart, Ellie Woods, basically forever. They welcomed their first child, son Riley William, back in June. The Insta post is in the form of a short video showing the progression of Woods' pregnancy.
Reality star Lily Ghalichi broke the news that she'd given birth to a son, Kashton Mir, with her husband Dara Mir. "Mom and Dad are so in love with you, your big sister adores you, and the World is ready to welcome you 'Kash-Mir,'" the proud new mom wrote.
Actors Sarah Levy and Graham Outerbridge announced their new arrival, James Eugene Outerbridge, back in June. His birth means that Eugene Levy — Sarah's dad as well as Schitt's Creek co-star — is a grandfather for the first time.
Jack Osbourne of The Osbournes fame, became engaged to fashion designer Aree Gearhart last year. This summer, they had their first child, Maple Artemis Osbourne. "Aree and Maple are doing great and are happy and healthy," Osbourne wrote in an Instagram post.
You can really feel the pride that Kellan Lutz and Brittany Gonzales feel over the birth of their son, Kasen Lane Lutz, who was born in August. "We are in love and soaking up all the baby cuddles," they wrote in a joint Insta post. "Ashtyn loves her baby borther, Koda is the sweetest, most gentle dog big sis ever, and mama and baby are doing well."
Crooner Michael Bublé and his wife, Argentine actress Luisana Lopilato, are proud parents to a new baby girl, Cielo Yoli Rose Bublé. Lopilato called it an "infinite blessing" on Instagram. It's the couple's fourth child overall.
Chopra and Jonas are new parents to a baby girl, born via surrogate back in January. Their post didn't include any pics of the new arrival but did call it a "special time" on Instagram.

Ex-NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been in a long-term relationship with radio and TV personality Nessa, and they announced their first baby just a few days ago. "Colin is the most amazing dad and I'm soooo grateful that he is by our side for every moment of this journey," Nessa wrote on Instagram.
TV host Nick Cannon and his wife, model Bre Tiesi, are parents to a new arrival. Their baby, Legendary Love Cannon (how's that for a name?) was born last month and Cannon celebrated his arrival with a bombastic Insta post.
