Val Kilmer, 62, is definitely down to don the hood and cowl again as the caped crusader.

When we talk about all the best Batmans (Batmen?) we've had over the years, it's easy to get caught up in the newness of Robert Pattinson, the iconicness of Christian Bale, or the classicness of George Clooney. Sometimes, though, we forget one extremely influential name on the list of stars who've portrayed Bruce Wayne on film: Val Kilmer.

Val Kilmer played Batman in the 1995 film 'Batman Forever.'

This might be controversial of me to say, but Batman Forever is in my opinion the best Batman movie. Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carrey absolutely kill their respective roles as Two-Face and The Riddler, and of course, Val Kilmer absolutely nailed playboy billionaire Bruce Wayne.

In a recent interview, Val was asked about reviving particular roles.

Following the success of 'Top Gun: Maverick,' Val opened up about returning to other franchises.

"We're seeing so many films now get a sequel years later. Are there any of your other early films you'd love to see a follow-up to?" he was asked, to which Val responded:

"HEAT would be fun. I love Michael Mann. We get along great and we have a great deal of trust…"

Then the interviewer brought up what we were all waiting to hear.

“Specifically, we now have multiple universes in comic book movies where actors who've played Batman or Spider-Man in the past team up with the current actor playing the role. Would you have any interest in playing Batman/Bruce Wayne again even in a cameo?" they asked.

Val's answer was simple.

“Yes, please.”

Fans are obviously on board with this possibility, with one fan tweeting, "VAL KILMER WAS ACTUALLY THE BEST BATMAN/BRUCE WAYNE EVER CAST AND WE DO NOT GIVE HIM ENOUGH CREDIT FOR THAT!"
