Sylvester Stallone, 76, has covered up a tattoo of his wife Jennifer Flavin, 54, with an image of a dog, fueling rumors that the two may have split.

Tattoos are forever, unless you get them lasered off or covered up. Normally, you'd be cautioned against getting a tattoo of the face or the name of your partner, just in case something goes wrong in the relationship, but if you're confident in an artist's cover-up skills, there's very little that can't be replaced. Just ask Sylvester Stallone!

Stallone has had a tattoo on his shoulder of his wife Jennifer Flavin for some time now.

As recently as August 8th, Stallone was showing off the tattoo on Instagram of Flavin surrounded by roses on his shoulder. Stallone and Flavin have been married since May of 1997, making their 25-year marriage one of the more impressive ones in Hollywood.

However, Stallone recently sparked split rumors after getting the tattoo replaced with an image of a dog.

The coverup was shared and then deleted by the tattoo artist.

While fans began speculating that the coverup meant that the marriage was on the rocks, Stallone's publicist released a statement on the matter.

"Mr. Stallone intended to refresh the tattoo image of his wife Jennifer however the results were unsatisfactory and, unfortunately, unfixable," the statement read.

"As a result, he had to cover the original image with a tattoo of his dog from Rocky, Butkus."

"Mr. Stallone loves his family. The Stallones are presently filming a reality show together which will debut on Paramount+," the statement concluded.

However, some fans still aren't convinced, especially following a cryptic post made by Flavin.

On August 10th, Flavin shared an image of herself with her three daughters.

"These girls are my priority. Nothing else matters. The 4 of us forever," she captioned the shot, which had many wondering why Stallone wasn't included in the photo or the accompanying message.

No matter the story behind it, the tattoo coverup is definitely impressive.
