Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are one of Hollywood's most iconic and beloved couples. We certainly love them, but hey, they have their struggles to.
In a recent TV interview, Reynolds shared the story of how he broke some pretty shocking news to his wife. Not only had he slid into someone's DMs, but the two made quite the commitment, just not in the way you're thinking.
The Adam Project star was recently on Jimmy Kimmel Live, but an episode that fellow actor Rob McElhenney was hosting, as the two are great friends.
Their friendship formed quickly, too. It all started with Reynolds sliding into McElhenney's DMd complimenting him on an episode of It's Always Sunny In Philedalphia, but has progressed to them making a hefty purchase together.
Specifically, the Wrexham A.F.C., which is the third oldest football club in the world.
Quite the buy, no? One you might want to consult your wife on first, or at least tell her you're going to do it?
He recalled just how he told her to McElhenney during their interview, saying, "After you reached out about this absolutely insane idea, I remember seeing Blake and saying, ‘I have bad news and I have really bad news. The bad news is I slipped into someone's DMs again. The really bad news is that I might have bought half of a fifth-tier national football league in Wales."
"Not good," he joked, "Not great, we're still working through that one."
The two bought the football club before they ever met in person, and there's an upcoming documentary about their journey titled Welcome to Wrexham, the first trailer having released in July.
As Reynolds put it, "I think the biggest challenge is the community looking around going, ‘What the [expletive] are these two guys doing here?'"
