Not only were Cranston and Paul there, but so was the show's creator Vince Gilligan, Albuquerque's mayor Tim Keller, and other local politicians.

The statue stands at the city's convention center, and is made out of bronze.

The city's mayor has commented on the film industry that developed there after the show.

"While the stories might be fictional [...] jobs are real every single day," Keller told The Associated Press, "The city is also a character. [...] We see ourselves in so many ways, good and bad."

The statues were commissioned by Gilligan and Sony Pictures.

"In all seriousness, no doubt some folks are going to say, 'Wow, just what our city needed.' And I get that," Gilligan said, "I see two of the finest actors America has ever produced. I see them, in character, as two larger-than-life tragic figures, cautionary tales."

The statues do look amazing.

And for fans of the show, which was and remains a massive staple in modern pop culture, even producing the successful spinoff prequel Better Call Saul that airs today, it'll be a great monument to visit in order to celebrate a bastion of quality television.
