Hailie Jade Mathers is revealing what kind of childhood she had as Eminem's daughter in the debut episode of her new podcast.

Although Eminem's fans have been aware of Mathers since the very beginning, that didn't make it any less jarring to see her blossom into adulthood after years that largely kept her out of the public eye.

But while Mathers has since made some strides towards building her own personal brand, it's also clear that she's kept a level head and lived a responsible life in a way that differs from what we tend to see when the children of celebrities grow up.

With that in mind, it can become a little hard not to wonder what growing up the way she did was really like for her. And that was information she was perfectly happy to share as she launched her new podcast.

On July 15, Mathers released the debut episode of the 'Just A Little Shady' podcast alongside her lifelong best friend Brittany Ednie.

While Mathers explained that her podcast will partially feature her and Ednie discussing current events, she also considers it a forum to talk about her life and share some aspects of it that she had never publicly discussed before.

And since Ednie was with Mathers on just about every step of her journey, she has her own insights into these matters.

Although Mathers had much to discuss with Ednie on the podcast's maiden voyage, it didn't take long for her to get into how different the way she grew up seems to her now.

And based on ET Online's reporting, the topic that seemed to interest her viewers the most concerned moments from her childhood that seem even cooler now than they did at the time.

For instance, Mathers was able to invite her friends on her dad's tour bus and travel the country.

As she put it, "It's so fun to look back, thinking back as an adult, I'm like, ‘Wow, that's so, so surreal.'"

And Ednie agreed that at the time, neither of them thought too hard about these moments.

In her words, "At the time, it felt so normal and not anything strange or different. We didn't know any better."

On such moment that particularly stood out for Mathers was when her father had business in Florida and arranged for her and Ednie to take a trip to Disney World in a limousine.

As she described it, "We did the princess tea party, and he had the dresses waiting for us. At the time, like, we were so happy and, like, so excited. But we didn't, like, get to appreciate that moment as much as now when we talk about it and think back on it."

As for why that was, Mathers and Ednie put it down to them otherwise having a normal childhood and attending public school.

In Mathers' words as quoted by The Daily Mail, "We never thought anything was different. We had so many normal experiences, that when something like that happened, I thought everybody else does that too."

Mathers and Ednie also described themselves as being quiet and studious when they met in the second grade, which didn't necessarily give them many opportunities to shatter this illusion.

In any case, it sounds like Mathers' childhood really gave her the best of both worlds.
