Rebel Wilson, 42, is getting real about weight gain in a new Instagram post.

Everyone loses and gains weight over their lifetime, to the point where stressing about it either way feels like a huge waste of time — working on feeling healthy is so much more important. Actress and comedian Rebel Wilson knows this as well as anyone and is sharing the truth in an Instagram post opening up about gaining some weight back after losing 77 pounds in her highly-documented Year of Health.

Rebel Wilson recently lost 77 pounds during her 'Year of Health.'

"My goal was never to be skinny," Rebel explained to People about her health goals. "I don't focus too much on the numbers. I still look like me."

"I love being curvy and I'm still super curvy but just a healthier version. That was my goal," she said.

In a new Instagram post, Rebel has opened up that weight loss isn't always a one-way journey.

"I just noticed I put on 3 kg’s on my holiday," Rebel revealed, which works out to about 6.5lbs.

"I’m at an amazing all-inclusive resort… I’ve lost all self control. But you know what? I can get up tomorrow and go to the gym, and hydrate and eat healthy and love myself," she went on.

"It doesn’t help to be hard on yourself but I know what it’s like to feel guilty and not great after eating too much."

"But if you’re like me just know YOU are more than just your weight, your weight doesn’t define you, just try your best to be healthy and don’t be so hard on yourself," she advised.

"Be the best version of you," she finished.

Fans in the comments of the post were definitely on board with the message.

"Amen! I gained 20 back when life got a bit messy and you know what .... I'm still me and will get back on it when it in lines with my spirit ! Thank you for sharing all of you , I wish I had a role model like you when I was a kid," shared one fan.
