Who here is like me and admires beautiful home design? Oh, yeah, I can't get enough of all that. I kid you not — I've started saving some pictures for some inspiration, ha, ha.

However, I can't say the same about terrible ideas people have implemented in their homes and apartments. And there are a lot of those too, believe me, ha, ha. So let's take a look at some of those examples, and I'll guarantee they'll make you scratch your head in disbelief.

This Garage

Okay, you may not realize what you're looking at here, so let me explain it to you. You see, nobody can park any cars in this garage because some genius built stairs right in front of it. Oh, yeah! That's right. Wow!

This Smart Home

reddit | u/karmanopoly

"This house was built about 4 feet below street level. Now they will have a very short, steep driveway down into the garage."

Oh my goodness, what the heck is the point of that? Was this a mistake or did they do this on purpose? That's what I would like to know.

This Bizarre Set-Up

reddit | u/juareno

Okay, can somebody explain to me what the heck is going on here? Why even have walls around your kitchen if they don't go all the way up? Is this bizarre or what? I've never seen anything as odd as this.

This Driveway

reddit | Reddit

Whoa! Are you telling me this is somebody's driveway? Isn't it a little steep? Good luck rolling your car down that thing. Actually, I would like to see it. It's pretty much an accident waiting to happen. Don't you think?

This Front Door

reddit | u/flopsychops

I don't know about you, but I feel like somebody is playing a joke on me. Why does this front door have multiple windows? Maybe they want you to play some kind of peeping Tom game or what? Whatever they're going for here, I don't like it.

This Bathroom

reddit | u/noirjinjer

At first glance, I was like, there's nothing wrong with this bathroom, and then I saw it. Why is the toilet right beside the bathtub? That might complicate things, huh? I don't get that. There's no rhyme or reason for this set-up.

These Columns

reddit | u/BlueTexBird

When somebody on Reddit saw this home here, they had this to say about it, "This is what happens when you steal materials from the job site over a period of 5 years." Ha, ha, I can't help but laugh at that because I think they might be right.

This Kitchen/Bathroom

I know that rental units are getting smaller and smaller. But at least I would expect the kitchen and bathroom to be separate rooms, no? So what the heck is going on here? For $2,000 a month, I would expect a bit more.

This Open Concept

Let me ask you something: are you a fan of open concept living? If you are, then take a look at this here. Now, tell me if you still like it. I don't know about you, but I prefer to do my business in private and not in full view.

This Staircase To Nowhere

reddit | u/potterator

Okay, I'm a fan of cool staircases, I'll admit that. But one thing I can say about them is that they need to have a purpose. So why is there one in this room that's going absolutely nowhere?

These Windows And Doors

reddit | u/emp1221

Wowza! That's the first thing that comes to my mind when I see this building. I have so many questions for the architect, ha, ha. Like, why is that one window totally off? And why is there a door above another door? I'm quite baffled.

This Bathroom

reddit | u/Cat-a-saur

I honestly dare anybody to use this shower without making a mess. And to put the toilet right beside when only a shower curtain separates the two is quite interesting. Who thought this was a good idea? I would love to meet that person.

This DIY Shower

reddit | u/KarensVictim

Here's the thing, if you think you can DIY anything in your home, think again. There are tile professionals for a reason. And the reason is that they know what they're doing, unlike the person who tiled this shower here, lol.

This Studio Apartment

reddit | u/Cyanidesuicideml

Just when I thought those studio apartments couldn't get any worse, I stumbled upon this awful concept here. Even if I were to save money living here, I wouldn't be able to stand it. No, thanks. Next.

This Balcony

reddit | u/Kerotysia

"My house has a thirdrd balcony that you can’t even get on unless you open the window."

What engineer in their right mind thought this would be a good idea? If I were to buy this place, I would definitely have something to say about this, and it wouldn't be positive at all.

These Confusing Doors

reddit | u/rflohoe

"Four doors, one corner. Left to right: closet door, door leading to bathroom from living room, door leading to bathroom from the bedroom, bedroom door."

Huh? Okay, I'm already lost. Couldn't somebody design these doors so they're not confusing AF? That's what I would like to know, lol.

This Kitchen Counter

reddit | u/JIA7767

Oh my goodness. Is it just me, or do you also think this kitchen counter is hideous? Are they using real bricks? If that's the case, then I'm even more confused. They could've just put a nice tile on instead.

This Tiny Bathroom

reddit | Reddit

I'm from Europe, so I'm used to seeing tiny bathrooms. However, I usually encountered them in restaurants and not in somebody's home, lol. How does one even use this toilet? That's one uncomfortable situation if you asked me.

Wow, are these designs head-scratchers or what?

I told you so. They say there is no accounting for taste, and I think they're right. Nothing about these home designs appeals to me. In fact, I have no idea what the engineers thought when they embarked on these home projects. Which one do you hate the most?
