Johnny Depp has shared many shocking revelations in his $50 million defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Namely, how he suspected that Amber was having an affair with James Franco, her co-star in the 2015 film, The Adderall Diaries. Or how he allegedly lied about how he severed his finger.

Another shocking revelation had something to do with Johnny's beloved work on The Pirates of the Caribbean.

Depp first starred as Captain Jack Sparrow in 'Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl' in 2003.

The actor has long been praised for his portrayal of the rum-loving eccentric pirate. He even earned an Academy Award nomination for best actor for his Jack Sparrow performance in 2004.

In a 2017 interview with Ellen DeGeneres, he said that his favorite part of being involved in the franchise is visiting children's hospitals in character.

"It's great fun because it's sort of like a three and a half hour improvisation. You go into the hospital, say hi to the kiddies—it's amazing," Johnny said.

Over the years, Johnny has reprised the role of Jack Sparrow five times.

This includes Dead Man’s Chest, At World’s End, On Stranger Tides, and Dead Men Tell No Tales.

But sadly, that long run is over, as he recently admitted during his defamation trial against Heard in Virginia that Disney dropped him.

This came off the heels of him sharing just how deeply Heard's 2018 op-ed.

This was about domestic violence that affected his career. In the Washington Post op-ed, Amber alluded to abuse claims against Johnny without specifically identifying him.

“Once that happened, I lost then,” he said during the trial.

While under questioning from his own lawyer, Depp revealed that his firing from Disney happened just six days after Amber's op-ed was published.

“Two years had gone by of constant worldwide talk about me being this wife-beater," he said. "So, I’m sure that Disney was trying to cut ties to be safe," he continued.

"The #MeToo movement was in full swing at that point," he continued.

Although he's out as the character Jack Sparrow, Depp revealed that they didn't stop selling Jack Sparrow merchandise.

“They didn’t remove my character from the rides,” he said.

"They didn’t stop selling dolls of Captain Jack Sparrow," he continued.

"They didn’t stop selling anything. They just didn’t want there to be something trailing behind me that they’d find.”

Depp revealed another shocking revelation during this line of questioning about his most famous role.

Get this: he's never watched the films.

“I didn’t see it. But I believe that the film did pretty well, apparently, and they wanted to keep going, making more and I was fine to do that,” he said in front of the jury.

"It’s not like you become that person..."

"But if you know that character to the degree that I did – because he was not what the writers wrote, so they really weren’t able to write for him…" he continued.

"Once you know the character better than the writers, that’s when you have to be true to the character and add your words.”

Even if Disney did want him back, Depp said that he wouldn't be interested.

This was revealed when Heard’s attorney, Ben Rottenborn, questioned him during cross-examination.

“The fact is, Mr. Depp, if Disney came to you with $300 million and a million alpacas, nothing on this earth would get you to go back and work with Disney on a ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ film? Correct?”

“That is true, Mr. Rottenborn," he replied.

This means that he wouldn't be part of the upcoming film starring Margot Robbie.

Since many fans believe that there are no Pirates of the Caribbean movies without Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow, we'll have to wait and see how the film does, or if it gets made at all.
