20 Times Someone Showed A Ton Of Skill, But Very Little Taste

There are times where, no matter how much talent you have, your taste levels are going to determine how nice a project actually turns out. Which is exactly what's happening with these pics.

I will say that the people who made these strange things had some serious talent. They probably should've had someone telling them not to go this far, though.

These jeans are horrifying.

The back of a pair of jeans hanging on a rack. The words, "so fine" are embroidered on the back near the edge, and there are cutouts with plastic over the bum area.
Reddit | Asad45788

The only good thing about this pair of jeans is that the denim itself looks pretty decent. Other than that... this is one big yikes. One huge yikes, in fact.

This is taking the idea of athlesiure a little too far.

Multiple images of corsets made to look like Nike and Air Jordan sneakers.
Reddit | pm_me_CupNoodles

Especially considering the fact that I can't imagine anyone wanting to chill out in one of these. I appreciate the fact that the person who made them got them to look like sneakers, but... No thanks.

Crocs are going in a new direction this year, it seems.

A pair of slippers fashioned to look like they have large lizard feet on them.
reddit | Teillu

These have got to be the ugliest slippers I've ever seen. And yet, I can't help but have some respect for them. I think because they're just that ugly, though.

"These bath tiles."

A bathroom with window designs on the wall tiles.
reddit | Teillu

Why anyone would want to have tiles that look like dozens of tiny windows in their bathroom is beyond me. I guess some people like having the illusion that they have zero privacy?

"My Little Pony space marine."

I'm not sure why anyone would want this, but here it is. On the plus side, it looks like a lot of work went into it. But, it's not like any of that time and effort was really worth it.

"This handmade stoneware platter."

Reddit | TheGreatYam77

This is the kind of thing you'd eat out of if you wanted to make sure all your meals were finger lickin' good.

I'm honestly not sure if the fact that this thing will probably last for years, if not decades, is good or bad.

"Cheez-it Ring."

A hand with a preserved Cheez-It ring on the ring finger.
Reddit | noah-wants-to-die

I simply can't believe that somebody out there decided to go through the effort to preserve a Cheez-It just to make it into a ring. And yet, I totally believe it.

"Gift from my pupils (8-9years old)."

A foot/high heel shoe-shaped glass with liquid inside.
Reddit | Skuigi92

In all honesty, this wouldn't be so bad if the liquid inside didn't happen to be a color that's similar to human skin. But that might have been the point...

This radiator chair...

A chair made out of repurposed pipes and radiator grilles.
Reddit | Xander395

This is, like, almost a good idea. But it's not quite good enough to not be a bad idea, if you know what I mean.

I would not want to be sitting on that on a hot day.

"These pill coasters."

Two resin coasters. Each one is filled with different colored pills and capsules.
Reddit | awkward-comics

Everything about this is atrocious. Like, the color scheme in itself is way too loud. But the worst part is all the pills. I dunno, it just seems like it's in poor taste (in more ways than one).

It's a car car.

A car covered in hundreds of multicolored Hot Wheels cars.
Reddit | j3ffr33d0m

I mean, this is definitely one way to recycle a bunch of Hot Wheels. There are probably plenty of other things you could do with them, though. Like donate them to kids charities and stuff. You know, something sensible.

"So good they ordered 3 of them..."

An ostentatious room with an ornate red and white rug, a white and grey pattern on the wallpaper, and three strange couches with floral and striped prints on them.
Reddit | m0Tu

I'm not gonna lie... I kind of like these couches. Like, not enough to want them in my own house. It's just that they're so ugly, they went straight past ugly and made it to kind-of-nice territory.

This couch, on the other hand...

A couch with a woman and dog, and fish in a pond designed all over it.
Reddit | goatviewdotcom

This is an actual abomination. It's ugly in a way that I can't even describe. If this was on a painting, it would be pretty nice art. But as a couch? Just plain wrong.

These OSB cabinets.

Reddit | Spaztastcjak

On one hand, I respect the dedication to OSB. On the other hand... yeesh.

I was hoping this kitchen was unfinished, but based off the Reddit comments on this post, it's supposed to look like this.

A little something for everyone.

A bathroom covered head to tow in various jars, floral arrangements, and other knickknacks.
Reddit | DejectedSoul

Literally. It's hard to believe that somebody went to all the trouble to make such a strange space. It's like the powder room you'd find in a particularly freaky bed and breakfast.

If there's a power outage, this would surely come in handy.

A candle made to look like a human hand with wrinkles and fingernails. A wick sticks out of each fingertip.
Reddit | rosseepoo

I think the only thing more terrifying than a hand candle (handle?) is one that's in the process of melting. I don't even want to think about what that would look like.

"My parents wallpapered their half-bath with People magazine covers from the 70s (and a few 80s)."

A bathroom wall covered entirely in vintage People magazine covers.
Reddit | AwwwMangos

I can appreciate all the work it took for this couple to do this. But this has got to be the worst bathroom I've ever seen.

Well, second worst. I just remembered that other one from earlier in the list.

"Fondant cockroach cake!"

A birthday cake decorated to look like it has several large roaches all over it (made of fondant). Text along the bottom of the cake reads, "Happy Birthday Daddy Bryan!"
Reddit | Saffronsc

The fact that I'm so horrified just makes this cake that much more impressive. I would never want to eat it, and yet it's probably a really good cake. It's somehow the best and worst birthday present you could give someone.

"Saw this monstrosity/legend in a hospital car park in the UK."

A purple car in a parking lot. The purple color is made from a shag carpeting covering the car, complete with a large hat on the roof and leopard print accents.
Imgur | ktm89

This has got to be one of the most... interesting cars I've ever seen. It's one of those things that truly captures the essence of when the taste is bad but the execution is on point.

"Not suitable for families with small children, people with shins, or anyone with a distain for catching tetanus."

An end table made out of repurposed saw blades, held together with repurposed pitchforks acting as the legs.
Reddit | the123king-reddit

See, there was an idea there. It's just too bad that the idea included using rusty saw blades and old pitchforks. Nothing about this screams "perfectly safe and acceptable to use" to me.
